Open Launchpad
Luminex Open Launchpad is a permissionless ordinals launchpad designed for creators, artists and degens. Given our long time experience in launching ordinals collection since March 2023, we designed the Open Launchpad to make it easy and seamless for anyone to launch their own ordinals collections on Bitcoin.
How does the Launchpad work?
Luminex offers an “inscribe on demand” model, meaning that art pieces do not need to be inscribed before the launch. Instead, they are inscribed by the minters themselves during the launch. This allows creators to avoid upfront inscription costs, as these costs are covered by the minters.
Creators Key Features
No Code Recursive collection Generator: We developed the most advanced recursive collection generator, providing end-to-end service to create your recursive collection using BRC69 protocol.
Flexible Whitelist and Minting Phases: We offer flexibility with whitelist phases, mint prices for each phase, and the maximum number of ordinals that can be minted per phase.
During Launch configurations: Creators can make updates to some configurations during the launch such as:
Pausing and ending the collection
Adding new whitelisted addresses
Reducing supply and
Downloading the necessary files to submit the minted collection on Magic Eden as quickly as possible
Minters Key Features
Open Collections Table: Minters have free access to the Luminex Open Launchpad collections table where they can easily find any active, upcoming and ended collection launched on Luminex.
Collection Filters: Minters can easily use the available filters to find collections they are mostly interested in, based on collection type, mint progress, mintable and upcoming collections and more.
My Whitelists: For a better user experience, minters logged in with their wallet can easily filter out for all the collections they are currently whitelisted, so that they won't miss out on any limited opportunity.
Single and Multiple Receivers: While minting, minters can decide to receive all of their mints to their logged in taproot address, or upload a csv to mint on multiple receiving addresses.
Collection Types: Recursive, Static and Editions
There are three collection types available:
Recursive Collections: For Creators
Recursive Collections use HTML Inscriptions with Ordinal recursive endpoints to render the final art pieces directly on-chain. This method greatly reduces the final file size to around 200 bytes, leading to much lower inscription fees for the minters. Creators must first inscribe the traits on-chain, and this can be done directly on the open launchpad. We usually recommend using recursive inscriptions when the final assets of the collection exceed 1 KB each. Learn more about Recursive Inscriptions.
Static Collections: For Degens
Static Collections involve using static files, such as PNG or WEBP images, for the collection. Creators can upload the finalized files and optionally the metadata JSON in the same format as any other Ethereum or Solana project. This method requires minimal preparation, making it easy to implement. However, static files typically have larger sizes, which can significantly impact the inscription fees for the minters.
Edition Collections: For Artists
Edition Collections involve creating multiple copies of a single artwork. Creators need to define the Inscription ID of the artwork and inscriptions will be generated through delegation, keeping the inscription fees as optimized as possible for the minters.
